Nikita is a warm, passionate and committed Registrar in Clinical Psychology. Her strong appreciation of client-centred, family-focused practice has motivated her to pursue a career working with young people (aged 3 to 25 years) and their families. Nikita has a strong interest supporting children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD). She is dedicated to delivering empirically-validated interventions and has a broad range of therapeutic experience, including Positive Behaviour Support, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness. Nikita offers a range of assessment services, including intelligence, academic, executive functioning testing and diagnostic assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and ODD.
She is currently a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association and is a former member of the Centre of Social and Early Emotional Development at Deakin University. Nikita has contributed to the publication of research papers investigating treatment strategies and early intervention programs for adolescent mental health issues. She also co-authored the curriculum for a school-based prevention program designed to enhance the social-emotional skills of adolescents. This program is currently offered in 14 secondary schools in Victoria.
