Luke Harvey obtained his medical degree from the University of Western Sydney in 2014. He completed his hospital training in Western Sydney, gaining experience across a variety of fields including emergency medicine, paediatrics, aged care and addiction medicine. He then decided that his passion really lay in community medicine, and went on to complete his general practice training in inner Sydney. He gained his fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2019. He lives locally in the Balmain Peninsula with his wife and young son. Luke is interested in all areas of medicine, but particularly enjoys looking after teenagers and young adults. He is also interested in men's health. He loves being a patient's first point of contact when they seek healthcare. He is an accredited antenatal shared care GP for Sydney Local Health District.
Luke was born in Scotland and emigrated to Australia with his family as a teenager.
Away from work, Luke enjoys watching soccer (he might be the only Partick Thistle supporter in Sydney!), cooking and eating good food, and performing questionable covers of The Smiths on his acoustic guitar.
