More information about Gail
Gail combines experience in counseling, teaching, coaching, facilitation and consulting to assist a broad range of individuals through the process of change. She works collaboratively with a range of health professionals to improve the quality of life for individuals suffering from stress, anxiety and depression associated with mental health issues, illness, trauma or everyday life changes. Recently Gail's work has been informed by the philosophy and practice of mindfulness, which has been shown to be particularly effective in reducing stress, anxiety and depression. Gail also works extensively with writing as a therapeutic tool.
Gail sees a wide range of individuals and couples dealing with challenges in their lives for psychotherapy and counselling. Most people who come are seeking to cope with or facilitate change in themselves, their relationships, their work or their world. Most of us struggle with living in the present, and much of anxiety and depression in our worlds often comes about because we reside in the past or the future. Gail helps clients to understand where ‘their world' is and to provide some mindfulness based strategies to help them learn to be more in the moment.
Coaching
Sometimes our lives are reasonably happy, balanced and we just wish to improve our performance in certain aspects of our personal or work life. Gail can help you set new goals and develop strategies to assist you in reaching these goals.
Workplace
Gail has a range of experience working with corporate clients as a coach. She is also available to offer counselling services as part of an EAP (Employee Assistance Program).
Workshops
Gail currently offers writing workshops at Rozelle Total Health:
Re-Storying our Lives
A six-week writing program incorporating mindfulness for clients with anxiety and depression.

Relationship and sex counselling
Often people attend for general counselling; sometimes we just need to talk to someone who understands. However, for many issues, an assessment of the problem is necessary; your initial conversation will enable a thorough understanding of your concerns and the situation, which is important as it will help determine which strategies may help you achieve positive change. Roger will work collaboratively to help you achieve your goals, asking your thoughts along the way to ensure you are happy with the direction and progress of therapy. If you have difficulty with the scheduled fee, some fee relief is available by prior arrangement with Roger. Please note that rebates may be available from Medicare or your private health care fund. Most appointments are 50 to 55 minutes in duration.
